Pakistan is the fourth-largest exhibiting country at the global exhibition, taking place in Frankfurt, Germany, which started on January 13th, 2025 and has 3,100 exhibitors from 65 countries. 285 Pakistani companies are present at this year’s exhibition, including 11 carpet exporters – marking the first time that Pakistani carpets are also at this event.
There is hope that the event will result in a boost for the carpet industry in particular, which produces very high-quality products. That said, a wide range of home textile goods are being showcased at this exhibition, which is seen as a chance to highlight the very best of Pakistan’s longstanding textile industry.
The Trade and Development Authority of Pakistan has set up a national pavilion at the event, containing the stalls of 58 small and medium-sized companies, which are export-focused. Heimtextil is one of the most important industry events in the calendar, attracting a great deal of interest.
Something notable from the exhibition is how buyers are placing a premium on environmentally-friendly products. As a result, many Pakistani exporters are making investments in both wind and solar energy so as to be more competitive with environmentally-conscious buyers.
