Pakistan’s Ambassador engages U.S. tech leaders in Boston to advance AI and innovation partnerships

In a high-powered gathering in Boston, more than 40 Pakistani-American entrepreneurs and executives from across the U.S. – including Silicon Valley – came together to meet with Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh.

The November 12 event was organized by Kewan Khawaja, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Techlogix Inc., a tech entrepreneur dedicated to deepening Pakistan’s innovation ties with the world.

At the center of the conversation: the powerful role of the diaspora in driving economic growth between Pakistan and the United States – especially through artificial intelligence, digital innovation, and the growing global footprint of Pakistan’s freelance IT talent.

“Your expertise in AI and technology is central to this agenda,” Ambassador Sheikh told attendees. “Now with our foreign policy deliberately oriented toward geo-economics, we are prioritizing AI diplomacy,” he added.

Pakistan’s demographic strength – where 65% of the population is under the age of 30 – was a key highlight of the discussion, capturing the attention of diaspora leaders interested in workforce development, talent exchange, and scalable innovation.

Throughout the evening, participants explored ideas for joint ventures that could generate mutual benefit for both countries. One focal point was how to further expand Pakistan’s tech exports to the U.S., which already represents 62% of Pakistan’s total IT services exports.

The gathering reaffirmed the growing alignment between Pakistan’s economic strategy and the diaspora’s appetite to contribute. With shared goals in innovation and economic advancement, the event underscored how U.S.-Pakistan ties can thrive through technology and talent.
